Community you all made a difference in a pilot’s their siblings from Wilmington Community Schools and their family’s life and provided all of them a happy memorable holiday season.

You all knew this community has more than three‑quarters of their students are from low‑income households even some below federal poverty line. For many these families especially during COVID-19 are in a very financial disadvantage, they cannot and are unable to provide the little extras. These students work hard just and being children at school and play.

​

Everything possible has been done on the school’s end to help them with items needed to get by daily while at school.

​

But fortunately, you all changed that for them this season. These students needed our help and you provided. From listening to my pleads, you all sharing, you all donated, and adopted those families.

Thank you all who donated and adopted to this cause to help these students this holiday season. We are providing a food basket for their winter meal plus one week of extra food to help get by the winter break for the student and the family with all the gifts you all provided to them.

20 families 114 members are adopted from Banning High School, Broad Avenue, Hawaiian Avenue, Fries Avenue, George De la Torre Elementary, Wilmington Middle School and Wilmington Park.
